How It Works

What a Unetwork License Does

A Unetwork license (formerly Unity) lets your smartphone run controlled verification tasks that probe real telecom networks around the world. The Unetwork app does not route your personal calls or SMS. Instead, it dials Unetwork verification numbers, records verification data, and helps carriers and enterprises find and fix quality issues across their networks.

Every task result is logged for full auditability. This creates a transparent, tamper-proof record of every contribution your license makes to the network.

How Rewards Are Funded

Unetwork license rewards are funded by service fees paid by network customers. Carriers and enterprises pay for the verification data that Unetwork licenses generate. This means the reward model is tied directly to real economic activity and real demand for network quality data.

Rewards are distributed as UPs, which are equivalent to 1 USD each, and update continuously inside the app. The more consistently your license stays connected and completing tasks, the more it earns.

Who Runs a Unetwork License?

Anyone with a smartphone and a lease code can operate a Unetwork license. You do not need technical knowledge, special hardware, or KYC verification. The setup takes under five minutes and works on both Android and iOS devices. If you hold a Unetwork license as a ULO (Unetwork License Owner) rather than running it yourself, a UNO (Unetwork Node Operator) runs the node on your behalf and you still earn your share of rewards.

Requirements

Unetwork License Requirements

Minimum Phone Specifications

Operating system: Android 6 or newer, iOS 15 or newer. Most smartphones released since 2018 will work without issues.

Memory: 3 GB RAM or more is recommended for smooth background operation. The Unetwork app is lightweight and does not require high-end hardware.

Connectivity: A stable Wi-Fi connection or 4G/5G mobile data is required. When Wi-Fi is available, the app uses that path automatically and avoids consuming mobile data.

Power: The app needs to run continuously in the background. Allow it to bypass battery optimization settings and keep the device charged or plugged in for maximum uptime.

Data Usage and Battery Impact

Data consumption: On mobile data, typical usage is approximately 7 GB per month, though this varies with campaign mix and connectivity. On Wi-Fi, mobile data consumption is zero. You can check precise consumption in your phone’s Data Usage settings at any time.

Battery: The Unetwork app is designed to be lightweight and not CPU or RAM intensive. Real battery draw depends on signal strength and task frequency. Keeping the device in a strong signal area and on charge produces the best results.

If offline: You do not earn while offline. Earning resumes automatically when you reconnect. Use Wi-Fi whenever possible to minimize costs and maximize uptime.

Where Unetwork Licenses Work

Unetwork licenses work globally on prepaid or contract SIMs and also work on Wi-Fi alone. The service may not operate in regions that restrict VoIP or in sanctioned territories listed in the official FAQ. Devices in underserved or geodiverse areas may receive geographic multipliers that boost earnings, rewarding operators who bring coverage to places that need it most.

Financials

Unetwork License Costs and Earnings

Monthly Operating Costs

ItemWhat to Expect
Monthly license credit$1.99 to $3.99 USD for an active license. Inactive and unconnected licenses are not charged.
Mobile dataApproximately 7 GB/month on mobile data. Use Wi-Fi where possible to eliminate this cost entirely.
PowerPlan to keep the device charged or plugged in for continuous uptime. Power consumption is minimal.

Expected Monthly Earnings

Estimated average earnings for a Unetwork license operator meeting all participation requirements are approximately $48 USD per month. This is based on a 50/50 split of an underlying gross revenue estimate of roughly $96 USD per license per month, derived from nearly a year of network pilots and real operator data.

Daily activity typically generates 0.20 to 0.40 UPS in the background, with active task periods earning 0.20 to 2 UPS per task (1 UPS = 1 USD). These are projections based on current network conditions, not guaranteed rates. Actual rewards depend on network demand, task availability, and your uptime.

What Affects Your Earnings

  • Earnings are funded by service fees and shared with Unetwork license operators.
  • Your location is generally not the primary factor. Uptime and connection quality matter more.
  • Devices in underserved areas may benefit from geographic multipliers.
  • Unetwork licenses that stay connected and charged around the clock are best positioned to earn.

How to Withdraw Your Earnings

Withdraw inside the Unetwork app to supported payout methods. You can also apply to receive a bank transfer. No additional lock applies to earned rewards. Earnings update continuously in the app, so you always know exactly what you have earned.

Maximizing Your Returns

  • Run on reliable Wi-Fi whenever possible; position the device where signal is strong.
  • Allow the app to run in the background; disable battery and data savers for the Unetwork app.
  • Keep the device charged and online 24/7 if you can.
  • Check the app’s status light for Active/Earning and resolve any issues immediately.
Compliance

Good Standing and Compliance

To keep your Unetwork license active and earning you must maintain continuous, valid participation. The minimum uptime requirement is 50%. Your device must be active and online at least half the time. Node Operators may set stricter thresholds in their individual lease terms.

Your Responsibilities

  • Stay connected: Keep the device online (Wi-Fi preferred) with stable signal and power.
  • Run the app continuously: Allow background activity and disable aggressive battery/data savers for the Unetwork app.
  • One device = one license: Do not stack multiple Unetwork licenses on one phone.
  • Operate in permitted regions: Avoid VoIP-restricted or sanctioned locations.
  • Meet the minimum uptime threshold: 50% minimum is required. Falling below puts your license at risk.

Warning and Enforcement

StatusWhat HappensWhat You Must Do
Below threshold (first detection) You receive one warning with basic diagnostics (offline, poor signal, background killed, etc.). Fix the issue immediately and confirm your status returns to Active/Earning in the app.
Still below threshold after warning License may be revoked to protect network integrity. You may lose access to the license and future earnings from it. Contact the Node Operator or support before the warning window closes.

Fast Fixes If You Stop Earning

  • Reopen the app and confirm Active/Earning status.
  • Move to stronger signal or switch to Wi-Fi.
  • Turn off aggressive battery/data savers for the app.
  • Reboot the phone if background services were killed.
  • Keep the phone on charge during long sessions.

Important: As the operator, it is your responsibility to keep the Unetwork license connected and earning at all times. Consistent uptime and valid work protect your license and the wider network.

Ownership

Managing and Transferring Unetwork Licenses

Unetwork licenses are digital assets that can be transferred or sold by the owner, giving you full control over your investment.

Leasing is available through an in-app digital agreement that defines the duration, minimum uptime threshold, and the revenue split between the Node Operator (UNO) and the License Owner (ULO). You can view and manage your lease terms directly in the Unetwork app.

Swapping SIMs or phones does not invalidate a Unetwork license. You can reassign the license to a new device at any time through the app settings.

Privacy and Data Protection

Unetwork states it does not collect your personal content and is GDPR compliant. The system records only the technical data required to verify work, calculate rewards, and provide an audit trail. No KYC is required to operate a Unetwork license.

Referral Program

Unetwork has a referral program with unique codes tied to each Node. The program is multi-layered and rewards Node Operators with additional operator licenses for successful referrals. Full terms and the complete multi-layer structure are documented in the Unetwork app and official channels.

For a full walkthrough with screenshots and video, read our step-by-step activation guide. To understand how the entire Unetwork operates, see our complete guide to Unetwork.

About the Network

What Is Unetwork?

Unetwork is a composable, people-powered global edge network with vast geodiverse coverage. It collects real-time telemetry and network data and delivers it to carriers and enterprises, helping them detect and prevent fraud, revenue leakage, and other network risks.

Unetwork also supports critical functions such as data transit and other infrastructure services, powered not by centralised servers but by real users across the globe.

By introducing a new sharing economy model, Unetwork enables participants to earn rewards directly for powering the network, bridging real-world telecom activity with shared economic value.

As a Unetwork License Owner, you hold a stake in this infrastructure without needing to manage hardware. Your license generates rewards as long as a Unetwork Node Operator is running the network on your behalf.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

A Unetwork License (also called a lease code) gives you the right to operate a node on the Unetwork. By holding a license, you contribute computing and connectivity resources to the network and earn rewards in return. Think of it as a digital operating permit for your node.
UNO stands for Unetwork Node Operator — the person or entity running the actual node hardware. ULO stands for Unetwork License Owner — the person who holds the license. When these are different people, the rewards are split according to the agreed ratio set in the lease terms. This lets license holders earn passively without running hardware themselves.
The split refers to how network rewards are divided between the Unetwork Node Operator (UNO) and the Unetwork License Owner (ULO). For example, an 80/20 split means the UNO receives 80% and the ULO receives 20%, while a 60/40 split means the UNO receives 60% and the ULO receives 40%. Different splits reflect different responsibilities, hardware contributions, and risk levels. Use the filter on this page to browse available lease codes by split.
Download the World Mobile app (iOS or Android), open it and tap Unetwork License Operator, then enter your lease code exactly as shown and confirm with your email and a one-time verification code. Once verified, your license is linked to your account and begins accumulating rewards when a node operator runs your license.
To be a Unetwork Node Operator you need compatible hardware. However, as a Unetwork License Owner you do not need any hardware at all. You simply hold the license and earn your share of rewards while an operator runs the node on your behalf. Hexynodes connects license owners with trusted operators.
Earnings depend on network activity, the number of active nodes, and the current reward structure set by World Mobile. Rewards are distributed as UPs, which are equivalent to 1 USD each. For the most current reward estimates, check the World Mobile official documentation or community channels, as rates change with network growth.
Unetwork Licenses are tied to the World Mobile ecosystem. Transferability depends on World Mobile’s current terms. Check the official World Mobile documentation for the latest information on license transfers, as policies may be updated as the network matures.
Traditional telecoms rely on centralised infrastructure owned and operated by a single company. Unetwork is a people-powered, decentralised edge network where real users contribute resources and earn rewards. This model enables far greater geographic coverage, lower costs, and resilience compared to centralised alternatives, while sharing economic value with participants rather than concentrating it.
No. Unetwork uses data only. It does not route your personal calls or SMS. When the device is on Wi-Fi it does not consume any mobile data at all.
You do not earn while offline. Earning resumes automatically once your device reconnects. Prolonged offline periods can affect your good standing if uptime drops below the 50% minimum threshold.
The Unetwork app is designed to be lightweight with low CPU and RAM usage. Actual battery draw depends on signal quality and task frequency. Keep the phone in a good signal area and on charge during long sessions for the best result.
Most operators see a monthly credit cost of $1.99 to $3.99 USD per active license. Inactive or unconnected licenses are not charged. On mobile data, typical usage is approximately 7 GB per month. Use Wi-Fi whenever possible to eliminate data costs.
No KYC is required to operate a Unetwork license. You only need an email address to sign in. KYC is only required if you want to purchase a Unetwork directly, which grants 200 operator licenses per node.
